A deeply troubled human being plagued by failed marriages and drug addiction, Judy had a preternatural resilience that left her fans forever in awe of her gifts and ability to laugh at herself.  “I’m a terrible eavesdropper,” she told Barbara Walters. “I love to eavesdrop and peek through keyholes. But I’ve never peeked through one keyhole without finding somebody looking back at me.”

The film earned Jones his first Primetime Emmy Award.
